What Can You Do About The Coronavirus

There’s nothing you can do about the coronavirus. However, let’s learn to keep yours, our sanity during the quarantined. We would love to get rid of this awful disease that is spreading like wildfire. Let’s listen to the health experts to:

  • Stay home, sheltered in place.
  • Only go out if necessary.
  • Wash your hands for 20 seconds.
  • Don’t touch your face.
  • Disinfect your house.
  • Get plenty of sleep.
  • Get some exercise.
  • Eat healthy foods.
  • Do not be in a room with more than 10 people.
  • Stand 6ft away from each other.
  • Sneeze or cough into the crook of your elbow.
  • Don’t shake hands.
  • Some tips to keep you busy.

Yes, indeed it’s a lot to take in. It’s better to be safe than sorry. Recently a friend’s father passed away in the middle of the quarantined. He died of cancer. It’s so hard to make a decision whether to pay respect to him or place my health in danger.

Stay Home, Sheltered In PlaceStay home

At times like this, it breaks my heart to even question if I should go. Of course, I wanted to go. No doubt if something like that happens on my side of the family my friend would totally come to support me. I could only hope that they postponed the wake until the quarantined is over.

Staying home protects them from you. Experts say even if you feel fine you might be carrying the disease. Please stay home. Time for spring cleaning anyway. The kids are home they can help clean and get some exercise in at the same time, recess time.

Go Out When Necessary Only

Make sure that if you do go out it’s for exercise like walking the dog or like in my town the lambs, horses, and pigs or other pets. Yeah, was pretty odd at first but you get used to seeing it.

By now you are aware that you should go out to shop for food, meds, and other necessities. Just to make sure, coming from a public place you might want to wash your hands for 20 seconds.

Furthermore, make it a habit to stop touching your face like, rub your eyes, scratch an itch on your face, pick your teeth and your nose for that matter. Just stop touching anything that will allow some germs to get into your body. Stay safe. Don’t touch your face.

Out in public maintained six (6) feet away from each other, especially people you don’t know. Practice good healthy distance will help save you and others.

Buy or eat healthy foods to boost your immune system.

When you feel a cough coming or a sneeze do it into the crook of your arm so that the germs are not in your hand when you have an itch on your face. Guilty.

I don’t know how you would do this but acknowledging your peers, friends, or even family members we should take care when hugging, kissing, or shaking hands with each other. It helps save a life. Keep a small hand sanitizer with you and use it frequently.

My method is, even if I used some sanitizer I always wash my hands for 20 seconds when I get the chance anyway. I find that more beneficial than using just sanitizer alone. That’s great for helping in public places but washing is a lot better. Warm water with soap for 20 seconds.

There are many things you can do during this time. Here are some ideas that might interest you like:

My cousins made delicious foods that they’ve been meaning to make but haven’t had the time and now they do. Looks awesome. Makes me salivate just thinking about it. Yum! I made my own pho recipe from scratch. My daughter complimented me on it. Win!

Baking isn’t my forte so I might try that too. Hey, I followed the directions to the Ts but no can do. I always end up with burnt cake. I can cook just fine, can’t bake for the life of me.

In my family, my daughter has taken up drawing. She’s pretty good at it. You can keep your kid’s company by coloring or painting with them. Hell, give them some colors and have them use their imaginations. Just watch them, unless you want a new painting on your walls.

Need to catch reading? Get an app you can listen while you cook, spring cleaning, play games on your phone without the sounds or go garden in your backyard. Take some tips on gardening. Hey, start one if you haven’t.

Please do your part of keeping your family safe from the invading virus that is keeping our family away from us. We can’t visit, hug them, kiss them, or have a family and friends gathering because of this COVID-19 aka coronavirus.Not today covid 19

This COVID-19 is beating on our humanity. It turns us against our own kind, the human kind. We are not thinking clearly. We point fingers and poke jokes. We arrogantly name this COVID-19 without thinking about the consequences that affect each other.

We confined ourselves to question the people we love. Closed our doors to the virus, not us, individuals. We have to have our humanity back.

Please we need to stop taking so much that there are others who can’t get what they really need. For example the elderly, independent handicapped, and low-income families. We have to consider all.

The grocery stores has done a great making hours just for the elderly but we still have the others to think of. No one knows who’s the low-incomes are and it’s nothing to brag about, been there. So please take what you need and save some for others.

Together we can kick coronavirus to the curb.

What has the corona virus made you do that you are not proud of? I know it made me think that everyone I see on the streets are infective. Keeping my distance like they are a plaque. Afraid to help because I didn’t want to catch coronavirus or have it catches me.
